Holiday Sangria

Serves 6-8

  • 1 bottle red wine, like pinot noir or zinfandel

  • 1 botte sparkling apple cider

  • 1 cup apple brandy

  • 1⁄4 c simple syrup

  • 2 c cranberries

  • 1 orange, sliced

  • 1 apple, cored and diced

  • 2-3 cinnamon sticks

  • 5-6 star anise pods

  • Sprigs of rosemary, for garnish

Combine all ingredients in a large pitcher. Stir to mix then refrigerate until chilled, or even better, overnight. Serve over ice. Garnish with rosemary sprigs.
